These natural powders are great alternatives to synthetic ingredients and provide a range of positive, non toxic benefits for all skin types.
Did you know blueberry and purple sweet potato powder turn brown in soap due to the chemical reaction with the alkaline? Now you know how we achieve the perfect Espresso Soap!

Food Grade
Sodium Hydroxide
Wait, What? I thought you said your soap is natural?
Sodium hydroxide is a necessary ingredient in soap making as it helps to create a chemical reaction called saponification. This reaction turns oils and fats into soap. Sodium hydroxide is used in soap making because it is a strong alkali that can break down the oils and fats. After the soap has cured, the sodium hydroxide disperses and is no longer present in the final product.
Did you know that food grade sodium hydroxide is also used in pretzel making? It helps give pretzels their unique texture and flavor. The sodium hydroxide solution is used to dip the pretzels before baking, creating the signature brown and chewy exterior.
We lovingly process each batch and cut every bar of soap by hand to ensure the best quality each and every time. Our bars are a little square, but so are we and we like it that way! Did you know that it can take a bar of soap 6 weeks to be ready to use?
Weird, we know.
